Keto isn’t just about weight loss. In fact, #keto was created to help childhood epilespy back in the 1920's. Sometimes people hear keto and think fast weight loss, but there is so much science and research that shows just how beneficial a ketogenic lifestyle can be not just for epilepsy but also inflammation, auto immune diseases, hormone regulation, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, TBI, etc.

Fast forward a few months later and my sister convinced me that we should try it. We both have PCOS, Reverse T3 and T4 hypothyroidism. I have the added fun of no gallbladder, which made me nervous. My worries were quickly calmed. Keto has been life changing for me. It is not a diet; it is a lifestyle. I don’t even have to think about it! It has become second nature... 75% fat/20% protein/5% fat.
Something so simple has changed everything. My acanthosis nigricans have almost disappeared, PCOS is under control, my thyroid is working. 2018 is the year I get to take my life back from what became a life sentence at 15. I make new goals and challenges every day and am excited to make progress.
